About Jane Faircloth Photography

Jane is a widely traveled freelance professional photographer born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an adult she has also lived in Florida, Virginia, West Virginia, Colorado, South Carolina, and northern Italy. Jane has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University, where she graduated with honors.

In 1988 she founded Transparencies, Inc., a stock photography agency. There she was owner/operator and agent for many acclaimed professional photographers and for herself for 26 years. During this period she highly refined her skills as a photographer and as a photo editor and critic of other photographers’ works.

 

Jane’s photographic works have appeared in many magazines, books, corporate brochures, annual reports, calendars, greeting cards, etc. Many of her fine art photos are in public and private collections, displayed as wall art.

 

Jane specializes in photography of The U.S. South, especially North and South Carolina. She has an extensive collection of award-winning photographs of tobacco farms and farming in North and South Carolina taken over a span of more than 25 years.

 

Jane resides both in Charlotte, North Carolina and on the South Carolina coast with her husband and two French bulldogs. She has four grown children and eight grandchildren – so far. Almost every day includes time behind the camera further expanding her substantial inventory of fine art photographs.
